From the 1920s Gatsby era, through the classic songs of the 1930s, to Swing and Jazz hits, Michael Law’s stylish Piccadilly Dance Orchestra performs the greatest dance music and the best tunes of the Art Deco Era—a whole lost world where top hats, white ties, and tails were the dress code, and love was forever in the air. Beautifully presented in evening dress, the orchestra’s music is superb for dancing or just for listening.
The PDO enjoyed long residencies at London's Ritz and Savoy Hotels and have recorded eight CDs. They were especially chosen for two highly successful BBC TV documentaries about the great British Dance Bands, and their YouTube videos have achieved hundreds of thousands of views. The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra’s specially created show for Warner Hotels combines their celebrated concert/cabaret programs with ballroom dance classics, including Latin-American numbers and waltzes.
