The Runnymede Hotel is partially accessible due to the layout of the property and grounds.
We always do absolutely everything we can to make your life as easy as possible – and if there’s anything else you need, feel free to ask for help from a member of our friendly team.
Parking and entering our hotel
We’ve positioned four accessible parking spaces very close to our main reception entrance. Wheelchair users can enter our disabled access hotel through our main entrance and our forecourt and is on one easy level.
Checking in
If you prefer, we’re just as happy to come around the other side of the Reception desk to check you in. For guests using hearing aids we have induction loops at our main reception desk.
Bedrooms
There are no ground floor bedrooms at The Runnymede on Thames . However, we do have four accessible bedrooms for guests who might require these, two of which are riverside rooms offering uninterrupted views of the river. These guest rooms are accessible via the lift. Please note that the dimensions of the lifts are: doorways 0.8m wide; depth 1.07m. These rooms offer you:
- Wider doorways – easy access for wheelchairs
- A large bathroom with suitable taps, sanitary ware and grab handles
- Call assistance alarm system from your bathroom and bedroom
- Alexa for Hospitality in each room
- Text displays and hotel information displayed on a television screen
- Visual fire alarm warning for guests with a hearing impediment
- Readers, guiders, and menus and other documents in large clear print, for guests with a visual impairment.
- Fully controllable lighting and air conditioning
Public areas
Our main reception, The Live Lounge entertainment venue, The Riverside Lounge, and both Market Kitchen and Brasserie32 restaurant are easily accessible to everyone and are all on one level. There’s ramped access to the terraces and riverside areas.
Toilet facilities
You’ll find three unisex accessible toilets on the ground floor. One is just beside reception, opposite Brasserie32, and the other two are in The Live Lounge bar and entertainment area.
Access to the spa and fitness centre
Both the spa and fitness centre are spacious and all on one level with wide doorways. Please note that there is no pool hoist for the swimming pool. We currently don’t have any equipment or toilet or shower facilities specifically designed for wheelchair users. The nearest toilet with disabled access is near reception opposite Brasserie32.
