Nantwich

Just a 6 minute drive, Nantwich is famous for its high concentration of Tudor and Georgian architecture (as well as hosting the annual International Cheese Awards) and also boasts a plethora of jewellery boutiques, antique dealerships and craft stores.

Chester City

Just a 33-minute drive, The Chester city walls have stood since medieval times and still form an almost complete circle around the city. Venture within and you’ll find cobbled streets, a Roman Amphitheatre, a 1000-year-old cathedral, and of course the world-famous Chester Rows for shopping, dining and drinking.

Anderton Boat Lift

Just a 35-minute drive away, one of only two working boat lifts in the UK (and a lot closer to Alvaston than Falkirk), the Cathedral of the Canals won ‘experience of the year’ in 2019, with its accompanying visitors centre and coffee shop situated right next to the Anderton Nature Park.

We stayed here for 4 nights last week from start to finish it was lovely, All staff helpful and friendly, Our waitress Amber was brilliant, the food was great and plenty of it ,Excellent entertainment every night the entertainment team were brilliant and worked hard. Plenty to do there during the day and Nantwich and Northwich not far to visit by car . We would definitely return and recommend this hotel to,our family and friends ,thank you.

We went to Alverston Hall to celebrate my husband and friends birthday which were both on the same day we had a wonderful Stay all the staff from Reception to waiting on staff in the Dining Room and all the entertainment staff were very friendly and made you feel at home, can’t wait to go back in March.

We visited last week our first time to a Warners hotel. It was a tinsel and turkey and Neil Diamond tribute. We had an Excellent time. The room was warm and comfortable, the food was excellent and entertainment every night was superb. The hotel is run like clockwork all staff lovely and friendly and very good at their jobs. The entertainment team are excellent good singers and actors. They did a panto Jack and the Beanstalk which was very good. We joined in the walk in the mornings and some games with Kat. We will definitely return at some point. All the staff are a credit to Warners.

From the south by car

  • Exit the M6 at Junction 16
  • Follow the A500 signposted Nantwich & Chester, and at the forth roundabout take the third exit signposted A51 Chester
  • At the Peacock roundabout take the second exit and continue to the Alvaston roundabout and take the 4th exit A530
